Cairnhill SBS
Steel Building Systems is a proven light steel panel system manufactured off-site for fast track "cellular" type projects. It comprises of high grade strength 70 - 100mm steel studs, channels, lintels and cills together with factory built floor steel cassettes or in-situ concrete floors. SBS panels are connected together on site with innovative bolt and screw connection details. SBS can where required accommodate hot rolled steel members to carry steel stair cases and other isolated point loads. The structure is suitable for all cladding and internal board finishes and is manufactured "just in time" for delivery to site to meet quick construction programmes. The structure offers complete flexibility when choosing external facade and internal dry-lining finishes. There are two roof structure options ranging from timber trusses to steel purlin / cassette panels to suit the architectural design.

Conception to reality
Cairnhill Framing Systems has a pre-contract service and will liaise with the developers, contractors, architects & engineers at any stage of a project to provide specific structural and dry-lining solutions. This can be prior to architectural design which is preferable to allow the most cost effective solution or on completion of scheme drawings..
Cairnhill Framing Systems provide a lump sum price and indicative design scheme to the client for consideration.
After a technical and commercial review/negotiation an order is issued to allow detailed design to begin.
Upon receipt of frozen design from the architect Cairnhill Framing Systems produces 2D CAD setting out drawings for approval.
Upon approval of setting out drawings 3D CAD drawings are produced for panel steel manufacturing.
Panel components are precision engineered for excellent dimensional accuracy minimising panel assembly times.
Panels are assembled, insulated and fitted with brick-tie channels and/or sheeted with cement particle board in our production facility to ensure; deliveries are just in time, site time is reduced on site and scaffolding is minimised.
Panels and site accessories are systematically delivered to site where our highly trained and experienced construction teams erect the panels.
Panels are dry-lined in compliance with the performance specification incorporating fire resistance thermal and acoustic requirements.
Concrete or steel joisted cassette floors are incorporated into the design using platform construction methods to minimise working at heights.
Timber or steel joisted cassette/purlin roofs are incorporated into the design to ensure architectural requirements are met.
